

He utilizes nutrition and exercise in his practice where necessary, with the overall goal of returning patients to a resolution of their condition and increase their overall quality of life. Bartell assisted in teaching Activator for approximately 10 years. Additional study was done in Atlas –Orthogonal work, Cox lumbar distraction work, Sacral occipital technique, Bio Cranial technique and Activator methods. Which through x-ray studies determine spinal function and helps determine what maneuvers can rehabilitate that function. Bartell to study and complete a fellowship in Applied spinal bio-mechanical engineering. Some of these Techniques were: Thompson, Pierce-Stillwagon, Logan Basic, Bio-energetic Synchronation and basic Kinesiology. Bartell has had extensive training in many areas such as the standard manipulative procedures taught in college. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1975 from Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri he began practicing in Dearborn. The outcome was nothing short of miraculous and motivated him to dedicate his life to serving his community sharing and utilizing the benefits of chiropractic. He initiated chiropractic care and through the care he received returned to near normal function. The injuries sustained in the accident destroyed a promising athletic career and after suffering through medical treatment with no resolution of the health issues he sought out alternative health solutions.

The technique utilizes a small handheld instrument, called an activator, with a soft rubber tip to deliver a light, circumscribed force to the area deemed in need of treatment. In high school he was involved in a motorcycle accident which changed his life. Activator method is a proprietary diagnostic and treatment system based on the belief that differences in leg length indicate the need for spinal adjustments. Bartell was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan.
